Chartists
Dear LHL
I am a student of history in Lancashire and have recently come across the great story of the Chartists in the early nineteenth century. Apart from the recorded and exciting chartist groups that existed in Lancashire, one issue which seems to reoccur in the textbooks is the question of moral or physical force chartism. I was wondering, in what sense did this issue divide the chartists and to what extent would they themselves be aware of this division? I look forward to your reply.
